The Help Desk Service Center provides MSU students, faculty, and staff a convenient place for walk-in consulting on computer problems. Located in 120 Computer Center, consultants will answer questions and diagnose computer problems at no charge. In many cases customers bring their computer with them to resolve problems such as configuration issues or computer viruses efficiently.
The Service Center also offers computer repair services. If your computer has a hardware problem, you can leave your computer for repair without worrying about shipping it to the vendor for repair. We provide warranty service for many popular brands; otherwise we provide services for a fee. If your initial consultation reveals that you need data recovery or reformatting and reinstalling your operating system, we also perform those services for a fee.
