MSU NetID (username) provisioning and maintenance are also done by Computing Services. All MSU students, faculty and staff receive an MSU NetID upon enrollment or employment. The MSU NetID and password is the primary electronic authentication mechanism at MSU. The NetID and password pair is needed to access many MSU services and systems including the University's course management system, computer lab equipment, Web sites, library services, student information, personnel information, and more.
